Friday night was huge for HCB as we partied down with our mates from the Bingham Cup with our biggest pool party ever and packed out our regular Friday night at Kinselas. The massive popularity of these events meant that some people couldnt get tickets for the pool party, or had to wait to get into Kinselas because of legal capacity of the venues. Kinselas was at capacity by 845pm, and there was a short queue to get in to the street level bar. HCB would like to thank particularly the door staff at Kinselas, who do a great job for us every week, for managing the crowd on the night. Venue door staff do a tough job, especially when venues are at capacity, and they cant be expected to please everybody. There has been some comment on social media that people may have been turned away from venues by HCB - this is mistaken. HCB is volunteer organisation that runs events for the benefit of HCB members and the wider LGBT community. HCB, the Bingham Cup organisers and the management of our venues have worked together to offer a big beary welcome to as many people as possible at both our Friday night events. We hope that anyone who missed out, despite our best efforts, still had a great night at the other Bingham Cup venues around town.
