Friday offered us yet a different experience and ministry - TopicsExpress

Friday offered us yet a different experience and ministry opportunity. The chaplain serving with the Military Police asked us to present a four-hour workshop to Christian husbands and wives engaged in military ministry. I began by teaching on maintaining our spiritual lives personally and how this translates into our professional lives as chaplains. Jim followed with an excellent teaching on Christian parenting that was very well-received. We had a question and answer time at the end of both of our sessions. Not only were there good questions asked, but the appropriateness of them speaks to the high quality of our interpreter, Gina Rajah. What a special lady! If you know Gina, you will wholeheartedly agree. We then enjoyed dinner in the home of our friends, Ednaldo (Eddie) and Michele, who attended Chaplain Interaction 2009 at Carlisle Barracks, Pennsylvania. Eddie is an active duty chaplain and Michele is a college professor. We also had the special chance to meet their one-year old son. Eddie and Michele both gave wonderful testimonies about how Chaplain Interaction had impacted their lives and ministries. It was a great encouragement to Jim and I to know that God is at work and is using us, whether we realize it at the time or not. We praise God from who all blessings flow for His presence and blessings this week. Hallelujah!
