Fridays Featured Band: AMARANTHE Hailing from Sweden this band falls into several genres of Metal music. They get listed under melodic, power metal, Metal core and death metal with hints of pop styles. I think its easier to say they fall under the Nu-metal sub genre. The band consists of six people with three singers Jake E - clean male vocals Elize Ryd - clean female vocals Henrik Englund - harsh, metal screaming male vocals Putting all these styles together in the blender works amazingly well (IMO) creating a new sound thats never been heard before and is slowly being copied but also has caused controversy in the metal communities that they are not metal.. Feeling they are more Techno dance with hints of metal They have put out three studio albums Amaranthe, The Nexus and Massive Addictive with the latest Massive Addictive screaming up the charts across the world hitting # 1 on US Heatseekers chart.
