Friendly Billiards & Arcade We are a small to medium size pool room in the town of of Valdese/Drexel, NC nestled in the foothills of the Blueridge mountains. We provide a quality family Billiard atmosphere for all ages. Friendly Billiards is under new management and has completely been revamped now being managed by Chris Foster with his brother Mark Foster as his assistant while owner Tim Clay pursues other projects. We invite you to come down and have some fun with us. We have plenty of pool tables, video games, a juke box, or you can come to just catch up on old times. Most of the people who hang out there are friends of ours from the 80s cruising heyday or our growing or grown children. We have four 9 tables ( two Gandys, a Williams and a Brunswick Gold Crown), we also have an 8 Gandy as well as two coin operated 7.5 Valley Bar Boxes to play on. We also have two snooker tables one of which is used to play a pool table version of Golf on. We will soon be holding pool tournaments on Thursday or Friday nights TBD which are handicapped according to your skill level and they are a blast. We have a player auction prior to each tournament where you can bid on your favorite player and win money without even having to participate in the tournament itself. We also have what is called a Break and Run Competition in which you by tickets and if your name gets drawn you have the opportunity to break a rack of 10-ball and each ball you make pays a certain amount of money. Each week the ball dollar value amount increases. I have seen break and runs pay as little as $50 a ball all the way up to $1,000.00 per ball. Tickets are usually around $2 each to purchase. The break and run ball value you will be updated and posted on here and out front of the building weekly. Anyways, if you are tired of sitting at home and want to get out and have some wholesome fun come down and visit with us. We sell a full line of equipment (Pool Cues, Cases, Jump/Break Cues,and any other accessory you can think of. We sell brand new warenteed cues from $75.00 Players up to $3000.00 OBs and Espiritu cues for all skill levels. These are all offered in ladies versions as well) or you are welcome to use our house equipment absolutely free. Our new hours are Mon-Fri. 7am to 12mid or later, Sat 10am to 1am or later and Sunday 11am to 11pm. The prices are as follows. 1-2 players younger than 60 years of age are $4 per hour, more than 2 at a time are $3 per hour. Persons older than 60 years of age are $3 per hour always.
