Friendly, long-winded reminder: despite the fact that we are a young independent band with limited $$, our newest EP The Electric Year and my most recent LP Slow Code are still available digitally, for free, at https://carolinereesemusic.bandcamp/music Theres a lot of controversy over the iTunes vs. Spotify vs. Name-Your-Price models going on right now, but Ive found that offering my albums for a name-your-price option has earned us more fans and more voluntary(!) funding than either iTunes or Spotify, and plus--it makes me happy. (My Spotify payouts are usually....75 cents. No joke.) Huge thanks to those who have voluntarily paid $5 or $10 or $20 to support us. Thanks for helping my band get to shows. SO, if you dont already have the digital albums, head on over and grab em for whatever price YOU think is fair. And share them. Please. It really helps. Some people may think this is de-valuing my work, but I think of it as a way for the audience to determine its value. A songs value is an incredibly personal thing. And I want everyone to be able to listen. Some people even download the album for $0 and then go back and pay for it later when they have the money. So there it is---- two new albums for your ears, if you want.
