Friends - We as a family would like to take a moment to comment about GRU and Mamas Hematologist - Dr. Jeremy Pantin. Mama absolutely adores Dr. Pantin, he has become more than her Dr. he is her friend and part of our family. We trust Dr. Pantin and know that he trully cares about Mama and her journey with Cancer. Everytime Mama sees Dr. Pantin he hugs and kisses her, his bedside manner is amazing and means more to us that he will ever know. Along with Dr. Pantin our family has encountered many Doctors at GRU on both the 5th floor and in the ER and every one of them have been amazing! Of course we can not give the Doctors all the praise and glory - the Nurses in both the ER and on the 5th floor have become part of our family as well. Many of these nurses visit Mama everytime she is in the hospital, many are friends on this very Facebook page keeping up with her and many of them call the house often to check in. These nurses have gone above and beyond for not only Mama but for the rest of our family as well. Keeping us comfortable with the long hours and days spent there as well as keeping us entertained with their warm personalities and caring hearts. We can not say enough wonderful things about the Doctors and Nurses at GRU - none of them will ever know what impact they have made on our family during the past 7 months. But we will continue to thank you all and brag on you all every chance we get.
