Friends - just sharing my dealings with Frontier Airlines. They obviously dont know who theyre dealing with here. Read this for some good entertainment. Perhaps you too will avoid flying Frontier to spare yourself some aggravation: Luis Tavel -----> Frontier Airlines I would like to officially credit April at DCA - who, btw, refused to give me a last name and claimed to be THE supervisor - for me never flying Frontier ever again after I get home to Denver today. Armed with an attitude and THE worst possible customer service I have ever experienced in my life, she made me check my carry-on and charged me $35 bucks despite my frequent flyer status. This is the same bag that has fit in the overhead the other dozens of times I have flown this or any other airline. Heres a lesson for Frontier: I will tell everyone I know about this little incident. If your goal is to go out of business, then congratulations - youre doing a fine job! ..Frontier Airlines Luis, We are checking the size of carry-on bags and personal items. If they are too large they must be gate checked and the oversized fee charged for all passengers. Im sorry this was not explained more professionally. We appreciate your loyalty as an Ascent member. ..Luis Tavel Frontier: perhaps you didnt fully comprehend what I wrote; my bag wasnt oversized. Minor detail: your measuring bins are much narrower than the actual overheads. Your agent pissed off the wrong person. This is just the beginning of my campaign to out your unscrupulous practices. ..Frontier Airlines Sorry for the confusion. All US airlines are required to enforce their published carry-on limits. Details related to ours are available here: spr.ly/6182gL34 and are provided during web, kiosk and airport ticket counter check-in. The sizers we use accurately measure carry-on and personal items. Please let us know if you have additional questions or concerns. We want everyone to know what to expect and are happy to answer your questions.^CB ...See MoreFrontier Airlines | Carry-on Baggage flyfrontier Frontier Airlines allows each passenger one carry-on bag and one personal item which fits underneath the seat.. ..Luis Tavel Frontier: Evidently you have robots and/or bureaucrats writing your responses on Social Media. You’re not giving me the answer I want to hear as an unhappy customer. Don’t tell me I am confused… because I am not!!! Also, don’t give some BS boilerplate answer about enforcing carry-on policies or that your sizers are accurate. By the way…I took pictures of your overhead compartments and your sizers today using my iphone in them as way to gauge their width accurately. I will soon be posting pictures of those. Allow me, if you will, to give you an example of what an appropriate response looks like when you’re on the verge of losing a customer: Dear Mr. Tavel: Having reviewed your Early Returns account, we noticed that you have flown on our airline dozens of times since becoming a member in 2008 – twenty times alone since October, 2013! We realize you’re not a novice flier. Allow us to be the first to apologize for the terrible service experience you experienced with April (insert last name here) in Washington, D.C. earlier today. Rest assured that her behavior is unacceptable and that it will be addressed immediately and directly with April and with her supervisor. We have already processed a refund of $35 to your American Express card because as an Ascent member you get to check your bag free and should have never been charged. In an effort to retain your business and to show that we value your continued patronage, we have also credited your account with one complimentary round-trip. Please accept our apologies and we look forward to continuing to serve you travel needs. Sincerely, Frontier Airlines
