Friends - working on a whole bunch of new songs for what may come next. I am really scared and really excited and really frustrated and really hopeful. Entering the journey of writing new songs for myself is always a mystery to me...whatever comes, comes. This is brand spanking new (finished last night) and I want to share it with you. I can only hope I am going in the right direction for those who appreciate my humble music. Thanks for praying with me as I enter this fall with a heart full to overflowing. Peace & blessings - Sarah Come Away (Hart) Your song pierced the long, dark night of my soul Wrenching the heart of me, blood from a stone Singing “daughter, come, and open your door To love, to love, to love” You rose up a lantern of light to my face I cowered in fear and I clung to my shame But you said I was worth the price you had paid For love, for love, for love Come away with me You, my beloved, I’ll never forsake Will you take your leave Come, my beloved, and live with me All of your days Beloved, come away A merciful thief, you stole my despair So I bared my wounds to you, let down my hair And wept for the way that you welcomed me there With love, with love Now love is not what I imagined once It is crown and crucifix, body and blood And a bridegroom who waits, his heart overcome With love, with love
