Friends, Alumni It is with very deep sadness we inform you of the death of James Garfield Lorriman yesterday. Mary (his wife) and his family were at his bedside. Garfield maintained his wit and dry sense of humour until his passing. In the early 1960s Garfield and a small group of individuals created Toronto Brigantine to provide leadership skills and charter development for youth aboard tallships on the Great Lakes. It is a testament to the strength of his vision that over half a century later the Pathfinder and Playfair continue to provide this experience to young people throughout the great lakes. Before the work party on Sunday morning a brief eulogy will by delivered Rev. David Mulholland followed by a moment of silence to remember his remarkable life. We will gather at the Mission to Seaman at 0900hr. All are welcome to attend. We extend our most heartfelt sympathies to the Lorriman Family during this difficult time.
