Friends, Family and Pray for Peyton followers- 3 years ago today, our lives were changed forever and our Mighty God has been with us every day! My heart still physically hurts when I think about the phone call from the HB police dept stating that Peyton was in a very bad car accident and I needed to get to the ER ASAP. I rejoice in Gods grace and mercy that we are celebrating his life today!! Peyton is still on a long road of recovery, struggling with many lifelong hardships that make him forever different than who he was- but I am confident that his life was saved by prayer and the will of God- he has a specific purpose,he is a true survivor and my hero! Peyton is continuing at the Center for Neuro Skills in Bakersfield for 6 more weeks but he will be coming home for weekends beginning this week!!!! We are so excited to have him home and look forward to this transition. That being said, I have to let you all know that we have learned so much, things we were not aware of earlier in this journey- his deficits are many and sometimes extreme, so he will have a personal assistant with him most of the time to help him stay safe and make good choices. Many of you know that he can be very impulsive, not understand social situations, be highly distracted and get frustrated quickly- these are all from the severity of his brain injury. Please continue to pray for Peyton, please continue to love and accept him for who is now- he is a wonderful young man who needs support friends and family as he ventures into the next phase of his life! Please drive safely and remember how quickly a life can change- every moment is a gift!!
