Friends: HELP IS NEEDED! HERE IS A TRUE HERO AND ONE THAT NEEDS OUR HELP TO CONTINUE DOING THAT CHARITY WORK SHE DOES SO WELL! I DONT KNOW ANYONE LIKE HER.... I wanted to make you all aware of a great one person non-profit called Chachis Haven which is a Cat Shelter. We all know that street cats in Israel suffer enormously, so the continuation of shelters is of the utmost importance. The cat shelter has existed for the last sixteen years and has been the haven for about 80 cat souls. This is a one person shelter, all the rescue work, care, treatment and funding falls on a single person, Gail Joss. She came from South Africa about sixteen years ago. Gail has worked hard physically to maintain the shelter and keep it in good shape. Lately her body has crushed under the heavy burden and she is struggling right now with a severe disease, that prevents her from working. The shelter expenses are 3000 nis (about 850 usd) monthly rent and about 4.500 nis (1300 usd) food for the cats.This does not include veterinary treatment.
