Friends, I am heartbroken to pass on the news that my dear friend and great-grandmother in the Craft, Margot Adler, has died. She had been ill for some time, but it still all seems quite sudden. A journalist for National Public Radio, Margot was one of the first to write seriously about the modern Pagan movement in her 1986 book _Drawing Down the Moon_. The granddaughter of psychoanalyst Alfred Adler, she was one of the most intelligent, sophisticated, and funny people I have ever met. She is also the author of a number of other publications, including a memoir, _Heretic Heart_, and a treatise on modern vampire fiction, _Out for Blood_.
