Friends, I am honored to teach gr 6-7 this coming year at our cozy Waldorf School here in Portland, Oregon. Right now I have about 12 students the class and am seeing a couple more. Can you pass this along to your friends? We are focusing on Roman history, S. American geography, Algebra, Physics of Mechanics & Thermodynamics, Age of Explorers and Organic Chemistry. This should be a very inspiring year! My class meets M-T-W, 9 am to 3 pm. We have a nice room which is not too small and not too big, and inside these four rainbow walls, we make magic. This year I am excited to spend time with these fabulous youngsters, who bubble and brim with enthusiasm for learning, for thoughtful contributions to discussions, for the joyfulness of a beautiful 11-13 year old in their bounding and rising! We love to laugh and work hard, too. The curriculum is exciting, the school is bursting with energy as we manage to offer band, handwork, German, flutes, choir, folk dance, games, and more in these 3 busy days. Some kids do come one or two days a week, but I would prefer this year to find a few more 3 day kids to round out our full time group. Do you know anyone in the area who has a child entering middle school who has been hsing and who says, I wonder.....that is who I am seeking. We have had mostly this group of families, who have one foot in each world. I welcome their independant thinking and opinions! I would love to talk to them and see if it might be a good fit! Send them my way. I promise to love them and challenge them and chase them around for fun once in a while....and admire them! Mrs. M Shining Star Waldorf School Email me Oregon7@aol
