Friends, I know this may be a bit forward. The Book of Mormon Broadway show is coming to Las Vegas. I am a Mormon, or should I say I belong to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. This show has won numerous awards on Broadway and is touring the country. It saddens me that people would produce a show that would disgrace not only a sacred Book, but belittle our 85,000 plus missionaries that are serving throughout the WORLD. My son is one of those 85,000 young people out there serving a mission for the LDS church. I havent seen him, hugged him, seen his smile or his tears in over 16 months. Many people do not realize that these young people are gone from their families for 18 months (girls) to two years (boys). I only get to talk to him twice a year, on Christmas and Mothers Day. Now you might say to yourself, I dont follow that religion and I dont believe what they believe. Well, I dont follow the Catholic religion or the Jewish religion, but I respect these faiths and all others. I wouldnt take the time or spend my money to go see a show that disgraces someones faith or their beliefs, but then again you have the choice.
