Phalen Subject: RE: sewer smell Good Morning Darren, When Alex received your call @ 1:00pm yesterday regarding an odor on Ocean Ave. he immediately phoned the operator at the Dominion Plant. There were no upset conditions at the plant and the operator walked around the site and through the field in the direction of Ocean Ave and no odors were detected. He also drove down Ocean Ave and no odors were detected. With regard to odor complaints: We have a standard operating procedure in place that requires as much information as possible (at the time of the complaint) in order to respond. i.e. civic address, home owner, contact number etc. The best case scenario is when staff can visit the home as soon as the complaint is received. If you smell sewer around your home we will need your civic address as well. All in all, we would like nothing more than to resolve these complaints (plant or no plant), so the more information at the time of complaints; the likelihood of resolving this will increase.
