Friends, I would like to talk to you today about remakes. With the recent Kingdom Hearts, present Final Fantasy tens, and distant Final Fantasy XII remakes a lot of my RPG-fan friends have been asking: Why not FF7? Seriously, it is their best game. Do they not like money? Well, Tatsuya Nomura has echoed his predecessors words as CEO of Square by saying that first they would have to produce a game worthy of 7s succession. But aside from that, Yoshinori Kitase (made FF7 and fresh out of making Lightning Returns) has stayed that he would like to create it, but cannot truthfully commit to such a huge undertaking. That and the budget isnt there. This makes a lot of sense when you think about how much they would have riding on the remake. If it isnt how everyone envisions it, or they dont pay the proper homage, they could damage their fan base irreparably. So, in a sense its *because* they love money that they wont update it.
