Friends, I wrote a letter to our synagogue community suggesting that this Passover we light an additional candle at our seder and offer some brief words like these: At this Seder, we light this candle in memory of those who were shot in the Jewish Community of Kansas City on Sunday. May their loved ones be comforted as they mourn. Let this candle shed light of understanding as we seek to end hate and violence in our country and in our world.
