Friends, I’ve been listening to nature all my life. My - TopicsExpress

Friends, I’ve been listening to nature all my life. My father, an environmental advocate for more than 30 years, taught me most of what I know about conservation. During my childhood, he often took me hiking, camping and rafting — and he taught me about the spiritual value of the outdoors. That’s why I agreed to give a voice to The Soil in Conservation International’s new campaign, Nature Is Speaking. We must realize that nature is absolutely essential for our survival. Feeding a growing population requires healthy soil. But, we treat it like dirt, and we continue to ignore an unsustainable relationship with the planet — at our peril. There are solutions, though, and each one of us can play a part through everyday actions. Pledge to listen to nature right now. No action is too small. Just one step can lead to big change. For example, you can support farmers who maintain healthy soil when they use sustainable growing practices. I’m listening to nature. Will you join me? Best regards, Edward Norton
