On October 18, 2014, Ill be walking with thousands of others in the JDRF One Walk™ because Im determined to turn Type One into Type None. I walk to change the future for myself and for everyone else affected by type 1 diabetes (T1D). Will you please join me? The walk starts at 9:00am out at the Truman Sports Complex (Arrowhead Stadium). With T1D, there are no days off. I have to test my blood sugar several times a day and pay close attention to what I eat. I worry about things like keeping a balance between blood sugar lows and highs. It’s a lot for someone my age to have to worry about all day every day. I dream of a childhood and a future without this disease. I don’t want to live with T1D forever.
