Friends, Tonight, Governor Hassan will board a flight to Istanbul. She will spend a week in Turkey on your dime, seeing the sights with lobbyists and fundraisers who support her campaign. Its the height of hypocrisy, and what makes it worse is that she is violating the travel freeze she was forced to implement after proving to the Granite State that she is incapable of managing our state budget. While Hassan plays hooky, Republicans are waiting, ready to implement the bold reforms Concord so badly needs. Hassan may be vacationing now, but shell be back. Lets send her packing for good this November. Elsewhere this week, Jeanne Shaheens campaign hosted a DC for Shaheen fundraiser. We couldnt think of a better title for Shaheen campaign events. Voting with Barack Obama 99 percent of the time, she is accountable to Washington D.C. and the special interests that reign supreme, not New Hampshire. In honor of this aptly-named event, the NHGOP launched the DC for Shaheen Coalition, with notable members like Barack Obama, Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi.
