Friends, We have felt the strength of your prayers this week and want to express again (and again and again and again) how much we love, appreciate, and NEED you all. The sense of team we have felt through Patricks sickness and the increase of tension, violence, and terrorism in and around our neighborhood has been a huge blessing to us. I am pleased to report Patrick is feeling better. He has not had a fever in over 24 hours, is keeping down gentle foods, and is spending the day resting and regaining his strength. As for the rioting in Jerusalem, today has been a peaceful day after a very noisy night. I think the rioters mamas may have called them in for bed sometime around 11:00 last night. :) That was after close to 10 hours of constant gas bombings and a few rounds of rifle shots. This morning the neighborhood kids were all able to play outside. That is a sign of peace for us. We have made it our practice to follow what our neighbors are doing with their kids so as not to overreact and invoke fear in Eden and Leia and because our neighbors have their fingers on the true pulse of the conflict in and around French Hill. However, when Eden and Leia left the apartment with a bucket of sidewalk chalk this morning we did have to warn them to stick to flowers and butterflies and keep their Zionist tags to themselves :) Theyre lionesses those girls!
