...Friends (and Enemies ;-) ), I am that kind of guy who is hard to please. Many vendors have left presentations flustered, and not a little miffed, because of the hard-nosed, uncompromising, and downright probing (some night say nasty) questions I ask about their products and/or services. People whove worked with me think Im a hard taskmaster (if working under me) or too-known (if he/shes my boss). Of course, I know they secretly love me ;-). Especially for junior staff, its true, Ill lay into you if your work is rubbish, and I find it difficult to give praise when they do good work...lest it gets into their heads. But once in a while, you cross paths with a bunch of people, and theyll simply floor you. And the guys at IMANI Ghana are just such people. We may all not agree with them on a lot of things. I certainly sometimes find them annoying. But I can place my hand on my heart that these guys are a dedicated bunch of activists with a passion to see Ghana take its rightful place among the comity of nations. What they do, they do for the love of this country. What is amazing is the shoestring budget on which they do their work. Which is why they need our help, and support. They have been fighting the fight for ten years now. It is time we support them to do their work. So for my Birthday Gift (my birthday falls on Sunday 6th April), and especially because of the good work IMANI Ghana has done, and continues to do, it is my wish, and I hereby call on all my friends, and enemies here, to make a donation to IMANI GHANA. If you really ask me, Ill say I hope youll all donate at least GHc50.00 each. I reckon with over 1,000 friends, over 400 pending friends request, and over 600 followers, we could easily raise for IMANI GHANA at least GHc100,000.00. Of course, ketewaa biaaa nswa, so if you cant do GHc50.00, you can do less.
