Friends and Family, PLEASE take a few and read this. It affects Steve and Charlie; Bentley and myself as well as others who have Service Dogs. I actually found out about this last night, but it ticked me off so badly I needed to calm down before I wrote this out. Apparently Jwoww and Snookie have a show on MTV. Now before you say anything NO I do NOT watch that horrid channel, but one of the Service Dog Grads saw this weeks episode called Snooki & JWOWW season 3, episode 2 Movin On Up!. Apparently Jwoww announced that she was going to take her dogs to get trained as service dogs so she can take them everywhere! AND THEY SHOWED IT ON TV! So, now that Shari (AKA K9s For Warriors Mom) knows about this, Im about 99% sure MTV will be....busy....today. However, Im going to raise hell over this too becasue as a SD user, I need to stand up for rights that Im having to earn as well as others who cant stand up for them. I need for you to do so as well. This is a tv channel that has a huge demographic. They have the ear of a generation of people watching these shows. MTV, where in the HELL do you get off ALLOWING this to be shown or even to occur on your channel? Do you not have a legal department, because Im about 99% sure they are going to show up to work today and tomorrow to a SHITSTORM. It wasnt even a full minute on the episode when Jwoww states, So I think I have the best plan ever. To get my dogs to go everywhere, I feel that I should get them certified as Service Dogs. If we, who have legitimate documentation from certified doctors, are forced to carry our letters stating we are disabled to prove to your kind that we can have our trained, well behaved Service Dogs into public places and are forced in a situations where we need to show this letter to the uneducated peoples in order to stop an escalation, because its not demoralizing enough, then this ignorant girl should be required to do so as well. Do you realize just how far this one statement set back the ADA? Do you, who supposedly support the troops realize the slap in the face this was? How dare you, and how dare this stupid, ignorant, little girl do such a thing. Get an apology out to EVERY SINGLE ONE of the legitimate Service Dog Training Groups out there that serve our veterans as well as civilians and make sure that this Little Girl has a legal education and makes a huge donation of her time and finances a proper SD training group. Just remember, these are people who trained to keep our country free so your stupid actress has the right to have her show.
