Friends and family. I have just gotten back at home with a relatively clean bill of health except for elevated blood pressure. A wonderful friend Christiane came over and took me to Scripps Encinitas ER where I was seen by a wonderful doctor with the first name of Socrates. He was thorough and waited for blood,urine and CAT scan before concluding anything. He suggested the blow to the head did not cause any internal bleeding as evidenced by the CAT scan. Suggested I watch the blood pressure and kidney function with my primary physician which I shall. I was advised to watch over the weekend and return with any symptoms of irregularity. We both had missed lunch and stopped to eat before returning home. I am here and will get to sleep early, friend Christiane is on her way back home. How wonderful to have such a good friend. Thanks to all who voiced concern. I was minimizing it all, that was not the way to go. Getting a blow to the head is not to be taken lightly, and I know that. Great to know there is no internal bleeding. The discomfort and head pain will go away. Hopefully reducing anxiety will return the blood pressure closer to normal. Hugs and Thanks, Terrie
