Friends, below is an update on our berries. Now, I am going somewhere that likely makes me even more peculiar to some. This year ... a different kind of stir has been placed within me and I have been reluctant to share because I know that I am already a bit weird by our todays world view. I have been urged to plant food to sustain and am led to can food for my family. My late plantings of vegetables, as it looks now, has been blessed and will go beyond our storage. Lord willing, these vegetables will begin soon and go through late summer into early fall with 4 types of squash, cucs, tomatoes, 2 types of beans, and yellow and white sweet corn. I again am compelled to suggest that you store food - for 2 reasons - 1) there is a lot happening in this world that we have allowed and elected by our so-called progressive thinking. 2) at the very least - our next generation needs to have knowledge of food and how to can. So, as these vegetables come to harvest ... I want to offer our abundance at price at wholesale or below for families that share my gut feeling - this is for folks that truly use to sustain their family and will teach someone younger how to can or store food. God has reminded me lately that He did not call me back to the soil to make money ... He will provide that ... He called me to grow food to feed His sheep. I will provide updates of opportunities as the harvest manifests. I know ... I just added to the peculiar fellar persona - thats okay ... I am learning to live with it.
