Friends in Christ, The election of Bishop Foley Beach of the Anglican Diocese of the South as the second archbishop of the Anglican Church in North America with the full, unanimous support of the entire College of Bishops is a demonstration of the extraordinary unity of this historic movement of Anglicans in North America. We are particularly proud in New England as he is a graduate of Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Hamilton, Massachusetts. Archbishop-elect Beach is a dear brother with evangelical passion, extensive church experience, many friends throughout the Anglican Communion, and someone who believes and practices leadership through others. He will build a great team of leaders around him. We will have a lot more to say and celebrate as we go through Assembly this week on the election of Bishop Foley Beach, the unity of our church in North America and the seamlessness and grace of this transition. +Bill
