Friends in continuation to “Lioness in her Siesta” that I posted yesterday; if you have missed it, pl follow the link https://facebook/photo.php?fbid=696287877081045&set=a.361719057204597.82638.100000995173647&type=1&theater This lioness looked undisturbed with our presence continued to relax and I took this opportunity to make few images using my 16-35mm wide angle lens, I tried shooting with two different focal lengths 16mm and 35 mm and finally I liked the one with 35mm that I am sharing with you. This image not only displays the beautiful habitat in the savannah’s but also the common yet interesting acacia trees also known as thorn trees that are native to East Africa. The big cats like the lions and leopards use these trees for multipurpose activities. One can see very carefully that this cat seen relaxing though, yet keeps a close watch on the wildebeest and other herbivores grazing peacefully at a distance. As soon as it’s time to hunt this lioness with support from other pride members will stalk and bring down one of the wildebeest. To see more action stay tuned…
