Friends, many of you are asking what the status of the Senate majority is and whether or not we got it. Here is where this stands. Right now we lead in enough seats to be in the majority but there are currently a lot of ballots still to be counted in Jefferson County and Adams County that will determine whether we gain in those leads, take leads, or even lose them. There are still 14,000 or so votes to count in JeffCo which could have impact on FOUR different Senate races. We should know these today. Adams County still has 25,000 ballots to count and it could take well into tomorrow to get those counted due to write-in candidates on those ballots. This would impact one of the Senate seats. There are still a few votes to count in the mountain district as well. Unfortunately, the only races we are sure about at this point are the two recall seats in Colorado Springs and Pueblo which we lost. The bottom line is nobody knows anything yet. We are currently ahead in some and behind in some. We must wait for the ballots to finish being counted. Until then...patience grasshopper.
