Friends of Carmel Mountain Ranch Country Club, Carmel Mountain Ranch Country Club is embarking on an unprecedented $4.4M golf course renovation beginning Tuesday, October 21, 2014. As part of the renovation, the golf course will be the recipient of all new tee boxes, improved quality of turf coverage, expansion of the landing areas, and ultimately reducing turf by over 50 acres along the outer perimeter. Incorporating the natural undulating terrain and native areas will preserve the lands unique characteristics. Additionally, certain common areas within the Carmel Mountain Ranch neighborhood will also be renovated to the same standard. This ambitious turf reduction project will preserve tens of millions of gallons of water per year, significantly decrease the use of chemicals, and create a new and exciting landscape as a backdrop for golfers and neighbors alike. The decision to remove the rough in favor of the natural terrain is a pro-active approach to water conservation and environmental stewardship. Our hope through this project is to create a golf course that is environmentally friendly, beautiful, and playable for everyone. Our goal is to create a golf course product and experience that makes Carmel Mountain Ranch an even more desirable community and enhances the relationship with our neighborhood.
