Friends of HTV: We wanted to give you a quick update on the medical camp set up in Tharparker district by HTV in collaboration with Ziauddin Hospital and Pak Oasis. We as a group made the conscious decision of concentrating on medical help as other organisations were focused on providing rations. Over a course of 5 days, we covered many small villages of the area and saw a total of 2,204 patients. The breakout is as follows: Kharobajeer 260 Vesasar 180 Mao 170 Bakhu 169 Mithi 498 Bugliyar 159 Mitthi Center 180 Maliyar 78 Dharar 125 Other small villages such as Jhampo, Dharm, Aarari, Malooki, Jaba, Aravla are 363 Amongst the individuals we saw, the most common medical conditions we found were: - Diarrhea - Viral - Respiratory issues - Diabetes - Blood Pressure Following blood samples has been drawn: - Protein deficiency In terms of malnutrition, we only came across 8 cases across all the areas, which was a surprise for us as well. We believe that the long term solution for Tharparker is to provide sustainable sources of water and healthcare. We will be organising a second camp shortly, so stay tuned on how you can assist.
