Friends of Shaggy 1 hr · Edited · Shaggy Ann joined the choir last night. First time I have ever heard her sing. She was an unexpectedly beautiful alto to the scary barking dogs at the end of my streets bass who, just as we got close to them, tuned up to the sirens blaring a mile away. She cocked her head from side to side, listening, then threw her head back, nose in the air, and joined their ensemble. It was an impromptu performance (so no photos or video). Perhaps it could even be considered a canine flash mob since, as Wikipedia says, a flash mob is a group of people (animals) who assemble suddenly in a public place, perform an unusual and seemingly pointless act for a brief time, before quickly dispersing. It was so beautiful and surprising that I relented to her pleas for a car ride at the end of our little walk. (Shaggy Ann has started parking herself in front of my cars passenger door at night when our walk is finished, begging for a car ride.) With key in hand, but no license, I treated her to a drive through and around my neighborhood - a five-minute treat. The song on the radio just happened to be Neil Diamonds Sweet Caroline. I rolled down the windows, opened up the sunroof and belted out my own song very loudly. It was fun. This morning I got into my car. The sun roof was still open. It rained again last night. It was worth it.
