Friends on here who went to Junior School with me will no doubt tonight be reflecting on the time Mr Slater took us on a long journey to Ypres to pay our own respects to the fallen. My promise I made that day surrounded by the graves in Belgium remains with me tonight - I promised that when I had my own children they would grow up knowing why its important to remember the fallen and respect those brave enough to serve or have served in the past.
