Friends the change is already Here !!!!! What Now !!!! Reminds me of the famous Chinese saying “May you live in Interesting Times” Interesting times they certainly are. What a far cry from only a week earlier of days of unlimited arrogance of power, heavy mandate, Draconian, inhuman and undemocratic measures galore, advent of Gulu, Pomee and Billu Butts. Brutally killing 14 innocent citizens and injuring a 100 with bullets fired at point blank range. The rigged heavy mandate proved to be not so heavy after all. Took only six days for the air to go out of the balloon. The writ of the illegal government evaporated in a day. The arrogant PM, his murdering brother and his forty thieves hiding and looking for cover and shelter. The government completely sealing a two mile stretch with a chained wall of containers and water bearing moats. Deployment of over 20,000 strong police units from all over armed with the newly received riot gear and Tazers and second and third tier of FC and Ranger units to protect it and end of the day begging the same Army it ridiculed and toyed with only weeks earlier for mercy and protection. It was such a shame yesterday to see the shameless MNS camp brag so jubilantly that the American Ambassador and the Indian government has given a statement in favor of the continuation of the government and system in place as a result of a stolen mandate by rigging the elections. This will come to haunt them in not too distant a future. First time yesterday i saw a Pakitani leader talk back to them like a true Patriotic Pakistani. Made me feel proud. It was such a delight to see the effects of the change which have already set in. The beleaguered government looking helplessly towards the GHQ for help. Its own key officials with some integrity disobeying illegal orders to launch a crack down on its own citizens. Panic written so large on the faces of once fire spitting touts or so called ministers overnight transforming into examples of humility, love and reason. The once so arrogant and corrupt government with its knees knocking and up against the wall gasping for air to just survive. Desperately begging the corrupt comrades and corrupt parties of old ways in the National Assembly to come to its help and save him. This is a far cry from a PM who was not available and who had no time to meet ministers and senior members of even his own party for months. A PM who thought visiting the National Assembly and Senate proceedings was below his dignity. He visited the NA twice in two days. A PM along with family members only busy in foreign deal making tours and settling matters of omission and commission. A PM showing inability to IMF to raise the already agreed tarrif by six rupees per unit. A PM more than ready to play second fiddle to GHQ after all. So far so good. The change has just begun and all credit to IK and TUQ and the brave people of Pakistan who are with them. IK and TUQ also need to remember that the change has just begun. They need to keep the pressure on. All will not happen overnight. It is best now for them to follow the constitutional route rather than a third party take over. A lame duck PM and already exposed government will be much better than that. This will also give a chance for face saving to all. I feel the constitutional route with requisite solid guarantors will certainly be more enduring and it will accrue and meet the same results. That is what is important. They now must insist for an independent tribunal to audit the election results with a timeline and a deadline, immediate reconstitution of the election commission of Pakistani and election reforms from within the current assemblies and a date line of the midterm elections. They also must insist on registration of FIR and cases on the culprits of the Model Town carnage and constitution of an independent commission to inquire into it. They need to withdraw their resignations and utilize their time to pursue the matter diligently while keeping the pressure on without a break and under the nose of the guarantors keeping them seriously involved in all this activity. If all this is done, it will automatically set solid foundations for the new Pakistan we all seek so desperately and I feel it all can be done in a matter of six months. Long Live New Pakistan !!!!!
