Friends, the death analysis, I posted yesterday like many on - TopicsExpress

Friends, the death analysis, I posted yesterday like many on Facebook, is just for fun. The app itself is called “HotAppsForFun”. If I had even the slightest belief in its prediction, I wouldn’t dare to post it and also make fun of it. Makes any sense? Please take it lightly. I am in that painful moment when you have to write explanatory notes to a joke you just cracked. :( ;) I take this opportunity, to share a very personal story on my experience with astrology. I think it is okay to share it with public, with the hope, it may help someone out there who believes in extreme predictions like death by some so-called astrologers When I was in my teens, I was told by a guy known to our family, who was also an astrologer that I wouldn’t be alive on this planet beyond my 17th year. This guy was so crooked that he told a teenage kid about her death, without the knowledge of her parents. The funniest part is nobody gave him my horoscope or even asked for a prediction about my future. This guy somehow got hold of my details and voluntarily came up with a prediction. Please note that, he was a legacy of a celebrated astrologer of his times. I did not dare to share it with my parents, foolishly thinking, they wouldn’t be able to take it. I was so shattered. Fear of death was eating me every day. Slowly, days passed by and the expected time was nearing. By then, I was already dead inside, in fear. However, I was all alive and healthy beyond the predicted time, except for my state of mind which was polluted by his dreadful prediction. I went to him and asked why I was still alive. He was equally puzzled and said, ‘May be my calculation slipped somewhere. Let me do it again.’ He took some time and came up with a different time of death. This time, it was around my 20th year. By then, I was mentally mature enough to doubt him and his predictions. I said straight to his face that he was lying. I never spoke with him again. But, this experience pulled me into the field of astrology. I was largely attracted to the planets and their possible effects on us. I started collecting related books, articles and invested time learning the basics and slowly got to the level of analyzing charts. Believe me or not, I can do a basic character analysis and give a summary of a person’s nature from one’s chart. I can do a basic calculation of favorable/unfavorable time periods in a person’s life. Does it make me an astrologer? Oh yes! Because, that is all ‘MOST’ of the so-called astrologers who live amongst as ‘direct representatives of God’ can possibly do. But, they are very well trained in a different field, which I am not. That is, they know how to manipulate the vulnerable minds of people who have fears and great expectations about their future and make a living out of it. Those, who don’t have belief in the field of astrology, may have a valid question, if even the basic analysis done by astrologers makes any sense. Frankly speaking, I don’t know. That is what their texts say. Do I personally believe in it? To an extent. What is that extent? I understand, people born in a certain star or sign with certain combination of planets, share a certain personal qualities, likes, dislikes, physical appearance etc., There are some periods in our life time, which can really test our endurance to pain, struggle and loss, while, there are other periods as well, which reap us the benefits of our perseverance, patience and mental strengths. There is nothing beyond this that I can ever believe in let alone death predictions. There is no one in this world, who can ever predict a person’s time of death. As a very remote possibility, even if there are people, who can predict life and death in this world, they would never ever open their mouths to talk about it. If someone does, he/she is a fake. Period. (Please dont send me your birth details for any predictions. Thank you! ;) )
