Friends yesterday 6 March 2014 I participated in a debate organized by the Global Human Rights Defence PAKISTANS MINORITIES AND ISSUES OF HUMAN RIGHTS My Contribution: Of course Christains, Hindus, Ahmedis have been facing violations of their rights ( not due to the state repression ) but its not only them, due to the policies of United States and Western Powers ( the so called war against terror in Afghanista ) has destablized the whole region as well as created issues of law and order in Pakistan, resulting into the issues of security of the general public as well. Its moral obligation of the International Community ( USA/European Union ) to help Pakistan economically to tackle the issues eruppted in result of their most unfortuntate war in Afghanistan. I suggest to reach parliamentarians ( Dutch and Pakistani ), media, acadamics so that an debate is started in the Parliaments for the strengthening of human rights of the people of Pakistan, may it be the issues of the rights of minorities or majority or may it be the issue of the Blasphemy Law or any amendment in the constitution of Pakistan, this all should be debated into the democratic institutions KAC Event was organised to shed a light on the human rights issues faced by minorities in Pakistan, to promote and protect rights of minorities.GHRD is working in the South Asia ( Bangladesh, Nepal, India and Pakistan ). Ambassador of Pakistan was also invited by the GHRD, he couldnt join the event , with some valid points GHRD should also raise the issues of human rights violations in Occupied Kashmir by India as well as the victimiztion of the Muslim, Christian, Dalat and all other minorities of India ( although he is a strong promoter of the human rights as well as the present government of Pakistan is trying her level best to ensure the basic human rights of the citizens , but unfortunatelythe geo-political conditions are adding unrest in Pakistan or elswhere )
