Friends yesterday I wanted to initiate a debate on New Population Policy. Very few responses have come. Maybe many of you have missed that post. So here is the Post: It is surprising that economists are suggesting several ways to control inflation and improve economy. In turn, to improve the quality of life in India. However, none of them dare to talk about ‘population explosion’. Reason is simple – India is a ‘secular’ country and ‘population control’ is a ‘communal agenda’. It will be wise on the part of the Modi Government not to fall in the trap and it must declare a NEW NATIONAL POPULATION POLICY with an aim to control this biggest menace the country is facing. One simple suggestion is – The STATE will withdraw all the RIGHTS from a person (getting married after the declaration of the policy) having more than two kids. On the other hand those who abide by the law will be covered under Social Security Scheme – free health, free education, and other similar facilities. Once population is controlled, the Government will have enough funds to implement this Social Security Scheme....
