Friends – intermittently, over the course of the past 8 months, Ive been recording some songs. Five to be exact. Im fortunate enough to know some people who could extend their efforts my way insofar that the tunes could be realized in full band form. Tent/Igloo/Canoe will be released on July 25th at the NAC in St. Catharines (the event page is in the comment thread). First and foremost, my pal Benjamin Rex Pokol helped get the songs off the ground. He recorded them all at his place in Welland, Ontario. Thanks, Ben! (See ya next weekend!). Second, Darren Jeter Magierowski, Magiwally, took those recordings and enhanced them at the Jukasa Media Group via mixing and mastering, and with the aid of Jill Zimmermann completed the process of capturing and manipulating the audio. On this particular song, words, another pal of mine, Jesse Ingelevics, contributed his ability behind the traps to supplement my rhythmic audio-vision. Much gratitude sent your way, Jesse (its finally finished!). The wonderful telescope painting, which is a part of the album artwork and design, was contributed by Cait Wind. Last, but not least, my pals Erik Dickson and Timur Inceoglu, who are the muscle and brains behind IndoorShoes.ca, have decided to release it on the label – many thanks, dudes.
