Frieze from the temple of Vespasian and Titus (Templum divi Vespasiani) (AD 79). In depicts the sacrificial implements of the priestly collegium of Rome (equivalent of the courses of the Jewish priests.) From left to right: 1- the skull of a sacrificed bull with garlands (these were apparently hung on the walls of the temple; 2- a cap the high priest wore during ceremonies; 3- a torch (?) or flail (?); 4- a vessel for libations; 5- a cleaver for carving the sacrifice; 6- basin ?; 7- ax for slaughtering the bull; 8- another sacrificed bull skull. (This may be broadly similar to some of the implements used in Herods temple.)
