He would love to go to a home where he can get frequent yet brief exercise and be fed a controlled diet so that he can look and feel his best. The shelter environment is very different than the home where Frito lived and as a result, everything is new to him. He is learning quickly how to walk on leash and how awesome people can be, but he needs a caring home where he can get a lot of attention and where he can gain some confidence. Funyon- petango/Adopt/Dog-Chihuahua-Short-Coat-23625561 Humane officers from the Capital Area Humane Society responded to a case of animal hoarding and rescued over 50 dogs from a local Columbus home in early August. Funyon is one of these dogs and he was transferred from the Humane Society to CHA so that he could find a good home. While this mild-mannered boy did not grow up in a very good environment, you will not meet a bigger sweetheart. He likes to meet new people and often hops up whenever people pass by his cage in the hope that he will be given some attention or, better yet, taken for a walk. Funyon did not receive individual care in his former environment and as a result, he is very overweight. While he weighs approximately 30 pounds, his ideal weight would be around 20 pounds. He would love to go to a home where he can get frequent yet brief exercise and be fed a controlled diet so that he can look and feel his best. Funyon has many canine friends at the shelter and is currently housed with his buddy Frito. While these boys enjoy hanging out together, they can be adopted separately.
