From 1981 through 1999 I was a performer, teacher and in the last 13 years the director of the Appalachian State Univ. Mountain Dulcimer Workshop in Boone, NC. During that time I became friends and learned music from the wonderful mountain musicians and dulcimer builders from the area - Stanley Hicks, the Glenn family, Bob Harman, Edd & Nettie Presnell, and Frank Proffitt, Jr. Most of them have gone before us.
