From 2005. Over on the Golden page, I played The Righteous Brothers and noticed a link to todays choice, Thrice. Surprisingly, not their music styles, but their origins. Despite the huge difference in the music each play, they both hail from Orange County, California. This is the first time Id heard of Thrice, once again on Zane Lowes Radio 1 show. After rummaging around the good old internet, Ive noticed people interpreting the lyrics of Image Of The Invisible in many ways. Some believe its a religious piece (lines of never walking alone implying that God is always by their side), some think its anti-religious (stating we can all think for ourselves and choose our own life paths), where others believe its an anti-government song (standing up to those in power, proclaiming theyre not going to fall in line and do as they say). Theres a select few who have sat on the fence and exercised the idea it can mean all three, then crediting Thrice for their multi-layered lyrics. All I know is its a rallying chant of a song. I particularly like the chorus. With the aggressive verses building it up, it spills into a thrash of guitars, great vocals and brilliant melody, harmony even...
