From Airport Authority Facebook page: At approximately 2:09 pm airport police dispatch received a call of a possible explosive threat. The caller stated that a bomb was placed on an inbound aircraft. The aircraft landed safely, was parked in remote location away from the terminal building and swept by K9 units provided by the FBI. No passengers were harmed and no threat device was found. Airport Authority, City of Jackson, City of Pearl and City of Clinton emergency responders were notified and responded to the airport to provide assistance. At this time no devices or suspicious elements have been found. Emergency responders will remain on alert until further notice. “Necessary agencies are working to ensure the safety of all airport assets and passengers. We are confident that the incident will be handled with professionalism and urgency” More information will be released as it becomes available.
