From Alex Lightman: The Tipping Point: World Leaders Tell Me They Want to Move To 100% Renewables This week the United Nations hosts a Climate Summit. Is there reason for optimism that that current and future leaders understand the serious magnitude of the problem and want to invest in and be part of the carbon-elimination solutions? I can say, absolutely, yes. This week I presented this information to the government official in charge of energy (both fuel and electricity) for a nation with over 100 million people, the government official in charge of agriculture and food for a nation of over 100 million people, and a future candidate for head of state for one of the three most populous nations on earth, along with the 242 page manuscript of my new book, Food Security via Clean Energy. All three of them asked good questions, understood the recommendations I made for reducing both the cost and the carbon associated with food, fuel, and electricity, and told me they wanted to implement these policies.
