From Anonymous Soldier When I first got stationed in Ft. Hood, I - TopicsExpress

From Anonymous Soldier When I first got stationed in Ft. Hood, I lived in the barracks on Support Ave. That place was so spooky to live at, so I moved out and I got an apartment in Willow Springs. One day I was cooking dinner and I heard my 2 yr old scream. I asked her why did you scream?. She said a man was at the door and walked into our bedroom. I was so scared. I searched the apartment and found nothing (apartment was so small; it was a one-bedroom). I asked if she was sure. She said yes mom, there was an old man at the door!. A couple of weeks later the same thing happened again. I was thinking to myself what is going on?. I searched our apartment again and found nothing. I thought maybe my child was just imagining it because we both moved away from all of our family and friends. Then one day my daughter and I were eating dinner. She stopped eating and I looked at her and glanced to see what she was staring at. I looked up to see a man standing there. I was shocked. I could see right through him! We just watched him walk from the door into our bedroom. I got up and looked in the room and he was gone. The next day I went up to the front office and asked if this area or the apartment was haunted. The staff looked at me like I was crazy and left the office. There was another staff member at the computer. He told me to sit down. He told me that all the Willow Springs area used to be Indian burial grounds and that the whole area was haunted. I just sat there thinking OMG! No way!. A few months later, I got base housing in the Comanche 1 area but it was no different there either. The Comanche 1 area that we moved into had a strange vibe to it. My daughter and I did not like it there either but we had no choice. Eventually, years later that house was knocked down to make way for a road. We live in a good area now but I often wonder what all that was about. I wonder what was here before and was there any trauma or what the history of the area we lived at was. But all the soldiers who have lived in the Willow Springs area that I know, have all told me some strange stories of black shadows, things moving around and their children screaming in the middle of the night. They felt eerie. Just strange things they would tell me and one by one they all moved out of that area to other places. I wouldnt move back to the Willow Springs area, ever again.
