From Anonymous reposted by Harry My son (now 14 yrs old) was diagnosed in 2008 with Aspergers...recently he has come forward talking about auditory hallucinations, sometimes visual. Im wondering how common this is with highly intelligent aspies or if this could be something else..Also, he tends to wander a lot during his school day, he talks about everything around him becoming foggy. he knows he should be going from one class to another and loses his way in between and just continues to walk until he finds a quiet place to gather his thoughts (or take a catnap). He calls it passing out. Of course as his mother I am highly concerned for his safety, as is the school for their own liability. It has been recommended by the school to admit him to the hospital for medication, which we have never explored previously. I have decided that route may not be best for him so today we do have a first appointment with a Med management doctor to explore our options. Any advice from this community would be helpful and taken into consideration, Thank you
