From Bat Conservation & Rescue Qld Inc: This sad dejected face belongs to Reggie the Little red flying-fox who was found crawling on the ground this morning. Thankfully rescued by BCRQ volunteer Deb, Reggie is having a nice rest in a warm humidicrib and is enjoying small, regular sips of diluted blackcurrant juice. The wound on his nose has been cleaned and a soothing salve applied. Surprisingly, this is the only injury that Reggie appears to have suffered during his probable collision. No bruises, breaks or tears to his membrane which is great news. Only 4 days left in our Emergency Heatwave Appeal to help us help bats like Reggie.
