From Bhavandeeps story: Imagine your energy for the day is like money and you have a bank account which you pay in a very small amount of money (energy) every day. This money gets spent on every day tasks such as getting dressed or having breakfast, but because you have so little money it runs out very quickly and you sometimes have to compromise between washing your hair and eating lunch because you just dont have enough money for both. As you use up more of your money you start to experience symptoms including; fatigue, flu-like symptoms, headaches, nausea, light and sound sensitivity, muscle aches, bone pain, dizziness, difficulty concentrating, trouble finding words, various other cognitive difficulties often referred to as brain fog and many more. Sometimes you can borrow from tomorrows money in order to increase what you can do today, but as you go further into your overdraft your symptoms increase and are likely to last longer as tomorrow you will start with less money. So people with M.E. have to be very careful to manage their energy/money, and for this reason often struggle to do a lot of the things that people without M.E. wouldnt think twice about. So much is unknown about M.E., and I would love to help just a little bit towards research into this condition, and hopefully one day finding a cure.
