From Big Spring PD: On the 15th of December 2014 at approximately 6:00AM the Big Spring Police Department / Howard County Sheriffs Office SWAT Team executed a search warrant for the residence of 1514 Tucson. The search warrant was a result of a 6 month long investigation by the Big Spring Police Departments Narcotics Unit and Homeland Security. When inside the residence Narcotics Officers found over 3 ounces of Methamphetamine, a quantity of Heroin, Marijuana, Morphine, other miscellaneous prescription medications and almost $4,000.00 in Currency. Also seized from the residence was an abundance of confirmed and suspected stolen property valued at over $10,000.00. Arrested from the residence was Peter Christopher Strickland W/M DOB 4/5/79 for Manufacture / Delivery Controlled Substance over 4 grams but less than 200 grams in a Drug Free Zone, Carmen Renee Strickland W/F DOB 7/10/74 for Manufacture / Delivery Controlled Substance over 4 grams but less than 200 grams in a Drug Free Zone, Amanda Gomez W/F DOB 3/20/77 for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Jeffery Glen Turner W/M DOB 11/23/79 for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. This investigation is ongoing and is now a coordinated effort with the Big Spring Police Departments Narcotics Division and Criminal Investigations Division and the Howard County Sheriffs Office Criminal Investigations Division.
