From Board President Connie Karry - Fri., Aug 8 ** On the Dog Front: ** From our Shelter Manager, Diana, this has been a great week for dogs going out the front door. This time of year (Spring through Fall actually) shelters are overwhelmed with dogs & cats so when Diana gave me these numbers I wanted to share. As of yesterday, 15 dogs dogs were adopted within the WEEK and 11 dogs went to rescue. Two more adoptions set for today, possibility five if M&Gs go well. Two adoptions for Sat. Would not happen without the collective efforts of the Staff and Volunteers who help at the Shelter, give up their weekends for AADs and other events, process the applications and conduct the adoptions. Thank you for all the dogs you helped save and giving us some breathing room so we can save even more. ** On the CAT Front: ** Wonderful Pound Kitty job especially considering we (and every other shelter) are overwhelmed this time of year. Also in the last 2 weeks we have had: 17 cats adopted 21 cats to rescue AND 10 cats moved to fosters Connie
