From Bobby Darin to Three Dog Night, The Byrds, Johnny & June Carter Cast, Fleetwood Mac, here Robert and, most notably Rod Stewart, many over the years have covered tunes by a guy named Tim Hardin, a lost soul who lost his life to a heroin overdose back on December 29, 1980. Reason To Believe, the original A-side to Rod Stewarts Maggie May, is his most famous tune, especially after Stewart made it a hit on his Unplugged album a decade and a half after he originally recorded it, but If I Were A Carpenter is not only his most covered song, but probably his best. Hope you like it.
